Podia vs. Systeme: Which is right for me?
Great question! We obviously think we’re pretty great, but here’s an honest answer:
Podia and Systeme both make it easy to set up courses and webinars, as well as your website, blog, affiliates, and email. Both tools let you make sales funnels to promote your products, set up affiliate marketing to reach new customers, and keep track of your sales, students, and stats in one dashboard.
The difference is that Systeme focuses on sales funnels. The platform guides you toward making a product with a funnel to promote it, and you’ll make your sales pages, checkout pages, and thank you pages within that funnel.
Podia, on the other hand, is an all-in-one tool where your website and products shine, and community is at the center of everything we do. We specifically designed the platform to give your customers an amazing experience after they buy from you, and after someone makes a purchase, they’ll see a customized home feed where all their products, community plans, and updates live. You get more ways to build connections and stay in touch with your people, while your audience has all their content in one space and the opportunity to get to know other people in your business.
You can set up a beautiful website with unlimited landing pages and a full blogging feature. Easily sell courses, digital downloads, coaching sessions, subscriptions, webinars, and anything else you like. Plus, Podia automatically generates a sales page and checkout page for every product you make so you don’t have to build from scratch.
It’s also possible to build sales funnels with Podia Email, and you get unlimited access to all email features (like tags, segments, automations, scheduling, and campaigns) for a set number of subscribers on all plans.
Let’s look at how Podia and Systeme compare on pricing, products, and email features so you can choose the right fit for you.
Podia vs. Systeme plans and pricing
Podia has a 30-day free trial and Systeme has a limited free plan so you can find out how each tool works before spending any cash. Paid plans unlock more features as your business grows, so here’s a look at what’s included in each one.
Podia Pricing:
Podia has three plans: Mover, Shaker, and Earthquaker. All Podia plans come with your website, digital products, community, and unlimited members and sales.
- Mover: $49/month and 5% transaction fee ($42/month when paid annually): Includes your community, website builder, blog, landing pages, digital products, and courses, with 50 products and 25 community spaces.
- Shaker: $99/month and 0% transaction fee ($84/month when paid annually): Includes everything in Mover, plus affiliate marketing, upsells, 1 assistant seat, and integrations with PayPal, Zoom, and Zapier, plus 150 products and 100 community spaces.
- Earthquaker: $179/month and 0% transaction fee ($150/month when paid annually): Includes everything in Shaker, with unlimited products, unlimited assistant seats, unlimited video storage, and unlimited community spaces.
All Podia plans include email marketing features like automations, newsletters, email templates, segmentation, tagging, and campaigns.
- Mover includes up to 100 subscribers
- Shaker includes up to 500 subscribers
- Earthquaker includes up to 1,000 subscribers
You can also pay for more subscribers on any plan as your list grows.
Podia also includes a free migration service on paid plans. The team will move your products and customers over from another platform so you can get set up faster without extra work. Learn more about how migrations work here (https://help.podia.com/en/articles/11370439-migrating-your-products-to-podia).
Systeme pricing:
Systeme has a free plan and three paid pricing plans. The free plan works well for test-driving the platform, but there are limits on what you can build.
- Free, $0/month: The free plan comes with 2,000 contacts, your blog, one course, one community, three sales funnels, one automation, one workflow, one tag, and one email campaign.
- Startup, $17/month billed monthly or $170/year paid annually: Startup includes 5,000 contacts, 10 sales funnels, five courses, 10 automation rules, five workflows, 10 tags, and 10 email campaigns.
- Webinar, $47/month billed monthly or $470/year paid annually: Webinar includes 10,000 contacts, 50 sales funnels, 20 courses, 100 automation rules, 20 workflows, 100 tags, 100 email campaigns, and 10 evergreen webinars.
- Unlimited, $97/month billed monthly or $970/year paid annually: The Unlimited plan comes with unlimited access to all Systeme features.
Systeme only offers free migrations on the top-tier unlimited plan.
Create courses, webinars, and live sessions with Podia and Systeme
Both Podia and Systeme make it easy to sell courses and webinars for your audience.
With Podia, you can create 50 products (including courses) on Mover, 150 on Shaker, and unlimited on Earthquaker. Courses can be self-paced, cohort, or have a future start date, and you can have seat limits and access durations to control how people receive their content. Courses can also be bundled with other products or included with community access to give you more options for how you structure things.
You can also create unlimited webinars on all plans using the events feature, and your sessions can be live, evergreen, or in-person. You can also run a live webinar event and sell the replay after for a source of ongoing recurring revenue. And if you want to get your people together in the real world, you can set up in-person events and meetups in just a few clicks and make them available for free or for sale.
With Systeme, you can sell one course on the Free plan, five courses on the Startup plan, 20 courses on the Webinar plan, and unlimited courses on the Unlimited plan. You can also run 10 evergreen webinars on the Webinar plan and unlimited webinars on the Unlimited plan.
Systeme doesn’t have a live webinar or in-person events feature. You can only make automated evergreen webinars, and you’re limited to one webinar page per funnel. Since you can’t run live webinars, there’s also no option to sell your webinar replays, which could mean lost revenue.
Podia is better for selling digital products, Systeme is better for selling physical products
You can create courses and webinars with Podia or Systeme, but if you want to offer other product types, the two platforms have different strengths.
Podia focuses on digital products, and you can sell downloads, videos, ebooks, printables, coaching, and any other type of file you like in just a few clicks. You can also set up product bundles, package products with community tiers, set seat limits, access durations, and waitlists for all product types.
Systeme has features for selling physical products, and you can add different variations, inventory counts, and SKUs. After you make a sale, you’ll be responsible for shipping the product to your customer. Systeme doesn’t include tools for shipping physical products, only selling them.
Email marketing in Podia and Systeme
Both Podia and Systeme have tools for building your email list and managing your email marketing.
With Podia, you have unlimited access to every feature of Podia Email and you can upgrade your subscriber count as your business grows. You can send unlimited emails, build unlimited campaigns, set up marketing automations, build unlimited funnels, and create unlimited tags and segments to manage your audience.
There are also dozens of professionally-designed email templates to choose from, and you can even use your previous emails as templates, so you don’t have to start from scratch each time. Because everything in Podia is connected behind the scenes, you can pull in full blog posts and product links in seconds, straight from the email builder.
Each plan comes with a set number of subscribers included:
- 100 on Mover
- 500 on Shaker
- 1,000 on Earthquaker
As your list grows, you can add more subscribers, but you’ll always have access to Podia’s email tools and unlimited sends. (And if you have another email marketing tool you prefer, it’s easy to set up with Podia’s native integrations.)
With Systeme, you can have up to 2,000 subscribers on the free plan, but you only get one automation, one workflow, one tag, and one email campaign. You can unlock more of each feature on higher-tiered plans, but the only way to get unlimited everything is on the $97/month Unlimited plan.
