Podia empowers thousands of creators to build their own business, create their own community, and make money doing work they love.
We have the privilege of being able to serve these people by consolidating their workflow, lowering their costs, increasing their income potential and letting them build their own independent business.
Podia creators sell online courses, memberships and digital downloads from their Digital Storefront. We’re the first in the industry to consolidate all of these product types together for them, making it easy to run their entire digital business from a single platform.
We’re looking for an experienced product designer to work with us to continue to improve creators’ lives and to grow a brand new economy in which independent creators can build successful one-person businesses.

It’s well loved by our customers for its ease of use and what it empowers them to do, and we have ambitious goals for where we want to take the product next.
Mackenzie Child, Podia’s only Designer, has been splitting his time between the product, the brand and our marketing. As we outgrow the ability to get by with a single designer, Mackenzie wants to spend more time on brand and marketing, and we’d like to bring somebody whose sole focus is making our product amazing.
To help us get there, we want to work with an exceptional person, who is also an exceptional designer, to take over the product design and help take Podia through our next chapter (and beyond!).
You’ll be working on everything that both our creators and their customers use. That includes Podia’s content management system, to our creators’ Storefronts, their sales pages, their customers’ dashboards and many other parts of the app.
Short-term: creating consistency, designing new features and iterating on existing ones 😃
We’ve spent the past several years iterating on Podia, and this has led to some cases of inconsistency across the app.
The entire product could use some unification, clean up and systematizing to create a stronger design foundation for us to build from.
While we work through this, we’ll also be releasing new features and improving existing ones, which is something our customers have come to expect from us.
Long-term: we have big plans for Podia over the next five years 📈

We have ambitious goals as we continue to pursue our mission of helping creators earn a living, and you’ll be helping to build a product that leads our industry into the next era of online entrepreneurship.
Podia is a remote team of 17 different people across the United States, Canada, and Ireland.
7 of those people make up our product team.
Our product team is obsessed with listening to our customers, figuring out what problems to solve, and how to solve them.
We’re not just saying that; Spencer, the Podia Founder, spoke to more than 4,000 customers in 2017 over the phone and on live chat as were developing our core product.
Teamwork is important to us, but our first priority is autonomy.
You’ll have your time and space to work through your projects as you see fit. Throughout the process at logical and appropriate times, we’ll come together to offer feedback and iterate on the work.
We don’t bog our team down with unnecessary meetings. In fact, we only have 1 scheduled meeting per week (an all-hands Zoom call).
