Podia demo - A look behind the curtain at our all-in-one platform for creators
Welcome and thank you for taking the time to check out Podia, an all-in-one platform that replaces five or more tools creators use to sell and market their work. I’m Ben Toalson, and today I’m excited to pull back the curtain and show you everything Podia has to offer.
I’ll begin by introducing you to the amazing tools that make it easy to sell your work. And please hold your applause until the end of the show.
First up is online courses.
With Podia, you can share your knowledge and expertise your way with videos, links, PDFs, quizzes, and more.
Let’s put a spotlight on everything you can do with courses.
You can set it up as a stand-alone course your students can purchase and take at their own pace, a drip course so you have more control over the student’s learning experience, or a cohort-based course with a start date so students can go through the material at the same time. You can pre-launch or pre-sell your course, and you can bundle your course with other digital products.
Setting up an online course is easy. From your dashboard, click “Create” and select “Product”. In the popup, add your title, select “Online course”, and click “Create product”. In the “Content” tab, you can add sections, upload files, create quizzes, and more.
In the “Settings” tab, you can categorize your course, set a start date, open and close enrollment, and in the “Pricing tab”, you can set your pricing, offer payment options, and add upsells to other products. Once you’re ready to launch, just click the “Draft” dropdown and click “Published”.
Next is digital downloads.
If you can download it, you can sell it. At Podia, you can sell eBooks in PDF or Epub format, templates and presets like photoshop files or LUTs, Music as mp3 or WAV files, and much, much more. You can even offer a digital download as a free lead magnet for your email list.
To create a digital download from your Podia dashboard, click “Create” and select “Product”. In the popup, give your digital download a title, select “Digital download”, and click “Create product”.
In the “Files” tab, you can create sections and drag and drop your files.
The “Details” tab allows you to add categories and manage integrations.
Under “Pricing”, you can select whether you’d like to offer your download for free, charge a one-time payment, or set up monthly payments.
And the “Availability” tab lets you manage access and visibility and the option to set a future date.
When your product is ready to sell, click the “Publish” dropdown and select “Publish”.
Now, let’s talk about community.
Community raises the value of your platform by creating opportunities for interaction and discussion between members who share enthusiasm about your products and content.
With Community, members can purchase your products, consume your content, and post and join discussions all in the same place. Community allows you to create a variety of topics and posts that your members can follow, comment on, and even post in themselves based on the level of access you allow.
With Community, you can build a community around yourself and your work, create opportunities for interactions and discussion, and bring your work and your audience together in the same platform.
Coaching is available on our Shaker and Earthquaker plans and integrates scheduling apps like Calendly and SavvyCal right into your Podia site, making it easy for your customers to pay for and schedule one-on-one sessions with you either as a stand-alone product or as a part of an online course.
Let me show you how to set it up. From your dashboard, click “Create” and then click “Product”. Now give your coaching product a name, select “Coaching session”, and click “Create product”.
In the “Session” section, you can either paste a link to your Calendly, SavvyCal, Acuity, or YouCanBookMe calendar, or you can select “Custom calendar link” and paste a link to your custom calendar page.
Below that, you can provide instructions for your customers.
In the “Details” tab, you can edit your product name and categories.
In the “Pricing” tab, you can set your price and add upsells.
And in the “Availability” tab, you can manage your product’s status, access, and visibility, and set a start date for when your product will be available.
If everything looks good and you’re ready to start selling your coaching product, click the “Publish” dropdown and select “Publish”.
It works similarly for your online course.
In your online course editor, there is now a coaching block. When you add a coaching block, you’ll be taken to a page where you can title your coaching session, link your calendar, and provide instructions for your student.
And finally, we’ve got webinars.
Podia makes it easy to charge for access to your webinars and livestreams. Simply connect your YouTube Live account or your Zoom account if you’ve got the Shaker or Earthquaker plan. Your audience will be able to register, purchase, and attend your webinar all through your Podia site. You can even earn passive income by selling webinar replays.
To set up a webinar from your dashboard, start by clicking “Create” and select “Product”. Give your webinar a name, select “Webinar”, and click “Create product”.
On the “Video” tab, you can paste a link to your YouTube live stream, integrate your Zoom account and select scheduled streams, set your timing, provide instructions, add a replay video, and manage reminders.
You can edit the details, pricing, and availability the same way you can for your other digital products. Once you’re ready to schedule your webinar, click the “Publish” dropdown and select “Publish”.
And what if you’re already hosting your customers and digital products on another platform? For creators who sign up for an annual plan, we’ll happily migrate your content and customers absolutely free.
